Took my car in yesterday for brakes & the reflash, when you guys had the reflash done, did anyone ask what type of gas you were putting in, if so why?

No they didn't ask. I run mine on 93 only but the when the sales guy who sold me my RL went to fill it up for me, he put 87 in it. No shit. I told him I wanted 93 but he said, "It runs just fine on 87". I was a bit perturbed about that.

Does anyone know when this supposed version 3.0 is going to be out!?! I've only gotten one flash done on my ECU and that was back in the beginning of FEB.

I am waiting for 3.0 to come out so I dont have to make two trips to the dealership.

They knew better than to ask me.... :D

On a side note, I stopped in yesterday to see my salesman Joe about something and it was funny cause another salesman asked me if i was the kid that 'scared the crap out of Joe during the test drive?' That's great! We went through Pittsburgh suburbs at rush hour, and i wasn't about to sit in traffic during my test drive, so we did a little traffic weaving and a small race to a singe lane merge point with an RSX (not type S). Joe was cool with it. he's only 24yrs old, and he said it was nice to finally see someone get in one of those cars and try it out rather than just putt around town in it and then ask what the big deal is with the car. The salesman told me he went in their lounge for a drink of water when we got back and he swears Joe's knuckles were still white from holding on!

Well I'm going to go over to the dealer today & tell the service guy that normally I use premium but on the last fillup(just before I took it in) I dumped in some mid-grade. But I don't use anything other than BP or Shell V-Power.

You shouldn't use BP gas in your car. BP gas has been known to damage GM engines.

I've gotten two ECU flashes:
The first was back in Feb. for the hestitation issues and the second one was yesterday when I got the camshaft position sensor housing seal replaced, it was an on-board diagnostics (OBD) system software upgrade-enhanced.

I got mine flashed today, (or so they said). Both times I tried to start it after leaving the dealership, I had to do it twice. WTF? And I also threw out the scratches in the bumper from the trunk lid and the service guy was like "No I don't know anything about that, never heard of that". He was also somewhat unaccomodating to the scratches in my FACTORY tint. I'm going to another local dealer where I know they have heard of it. I plan to take the completed work order back to the Arlington dealer so that they will have heard of it.

Sorry, ranting

I've been sitting in the weeds reading about the ECU flashes and what is happening to the cars. I'm wondering what it is that the update should do.

I in my previous life was a computer programmer. (I now own a motorcycle shop) Motocycles have been my life and the programming was how I afforded it. ;)

Anyway the programmer in me says to sit tight and see what the flash will do for the car and (sorry about this) let someone else be the guinea pig. Program updates are not always perfect and this is probably why there are additional updates. I'm thinking they are using us as a beta test and not telling us. Obviously the car being so new and the drive by wire system just as new makes it hard to get all of the bugs out of the software before they wanted to deliver the cars. I'm ok with that as long as the ECU flash has had proper testing and it won't screw something up or hurt anyone. Also, (just me being paranoid) I think they should share more about what "exactly" the flash is supposed to do for the car. Also, why the third flash already?

Any thoughts?

Bill Gates just bought a large portion of GM stock, they're gonna do on board car computers like they do Windows, Version 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 etc, etc. :p
