I dunno man, you get bucking at high rpm's? I assume that they have already done the Cam Sensor fix? Perhaps there is another dealership that you can go to, as a last resort Saturn Customer service seems to have some pull with the dealerships. I just mentioned that I had contacted the customer service number and my service manager almost freaked out. He thought I was calling to complain about them when I was just looking for the transmission model. Maybe you can send them an email, they respond REAL fast, at least for me they did. I got 3 emails sent and responded to in 8 hours.redlineRACER said:
What do you mean that your car won't start like it should? It wont start at all, it takes a long time, what? I gotta tell you though, I think there are people that are looking for the upgrade just to get it. I'm sure at this point, some of the dealerships are also figuring this out. Someone could have told me that they did the upgrade and I might have never known the difference. At first I thought I noticed a smoother power delivery at lower rpms, but I'm still not sold that it was a great deal of difference.
What have they done to your car in the past trips to the shop? If they already fixed the Cam Sensor, then the ECU should be the next logical step. There's also the possibility that if they DID do the Cam Sensor, that it was done poorly, which would leave you with the same issues that you started with. To my knowledge, the only issues that the ECU update is made to fix is the hesitation and stumbiling at idle and low rpms's, not high rpms.
