Dont know what was actually changed in the new flash but my baby is running smoother than ever.

Fixed the bucking bronco effect
fixed the cold starts
fixed the extended cranks
seems to get more even boost instead of major pull at 4k

thank you saturn engineers for fine tuning these problem areas

I got my car back today and they said I didn't need the upgrade. They said it was already in my car. I am not too sure about that. My car was built toward the end of 2004 production, but man. I am so sick of dealing with those people at my dealership.

I left a nice big black mark about 20 feet long on their lot, right in front of the showroom entrance, to show my appreciation for all their wonderful help and concern for my vehicle. ASSHOLES!!!

I am calling their district manager tomorrow.
nice......Yeah i cant say i have to happy with the dealerships around me. I want to get that update but am almost positive they will just give me the run around. THey wouldnt even patch my tire when i got a screw in it just broke it off and said it didnt go the whole way through and it would be fine to drive on..took the car to sears and the screw was all the way through I could of got stranded with a flat because of them.
that bucking bronco trash wont go away untill you put a larger engine in it, never been in a 4banger car that DIDNT
well 4bangers may have SOME of that bucking bronco problem, but from someone that just received his car back from the shop with the ECM updated software. I posted my results in the original thread located here New Program makes RL run better
Not to sound like everyone else but the upgrade does make a large difference. I just got it done today and the shifting is a lot smoother. Seems like smooth all the way through. And the shift from 1st to 2nd is very smooth now. I'm very amazed I didn't think it would be that big.

Plus I'm seeing that we now have alot of people from MI here now. We should have a little get together!!! :D
i can't wait to find this out for myself as i always thought i was just a bit jerky for the 1-2 shift because the clutch is touchy. we'll see because i'm not expecting anything, but i still don't have my car back :(

they haven't even called me yet, and they told me they should be done yesterday...

Thats what I thought too. But I was amazed when I got it back. Like you I wasn't expecting anything and boy was I pleasantly suprised.

mmmmmmmm, pleasantly suprised......

i think i'm starting to miss my car too much, and on top of that the headers should be here soon, my feet are getting antsy for some action
I see a lot of Mi. people on here but never on the road.
I'm in Ann Arbor. Spend most of my time there or Monroe and Novi.

Yeah I can't wait until my header gets here. Then I will upgrade my exhaust as well.
i work in novi / wixom area and live in Royal Oak, and drive out to ann arbor a couple times a month to drive on some of those sweet roads.
Yeah I'm in trenton, I dont really drive that much since I work 2 miles from my house and im there for 12 to 14 hours every day from 6pm to whenever. I have only seen one other redline on the road it was at the woodhaven meijer the guy park like right in front of me and didnt even look over.

Well we should all plan a date in March to go meet out in ann arbor and cruize around.
Works for me...it was to be a weekend....just let me know.

-Matt
I'm in for that.

2004redline - was the Redline that you saw black with 18in rims and body kit?? If so that was me. I go to woodhaven every now and again. I used to live behind the Mcdonalds right of 75
I'm in Southgate.
Not sure...If i remember right it still had stock rims on it. It was like 3 months ago or so.

The apartments next to Aquinas on Northline. I don't use the car for work (have a company car) but I like to take it down Fort St. and wind it out a bit to get rid of stress.
