How do the lights on the side on the new boost gauge work?

When will the peformance upgrade be released?

Is there an oil pressure sender on the RL that I can use to drive my Oil Pressure Gauge?

Sorry for all the questions...

Saturn of State College,
I called Saturn on my lunch about the Comp. package, awaiting a fax on that info,

As for the Oil pressure sender question, the stock one is on the oil cooler assmbly. It should be the only sensor on that assembly with wires attached, you could probably T off of there.

The Oil cooler is to the right of the oil filter housing, and a little below it. The oil pressure switch, atleast on an 05 is below the Intercooler reservoir. Its a black sensor, right at the base of the oil cooler.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I talked to someone at saturn today and they said that the comp. package will only be available as a new car option when it comes out and will not be offered as an accessory, at least not right away. He said while the LSD will be available, there is no known installation procedure for it. What this means, is that it wont be a kit, just individual parts, and you'll have to figure out how to make them work on your own. I'm still hopeful that they, or maybe GM performance parts will make some stuff for the redline. This particular person was now aware of anything being planned to be released for the Ion redline. :-(

Partsspec,
Your info is contrary to what I've been told. Please check thread here.

I spoke to the service manager this morning, and he is ordering the competition package for me today.

Do you have other resources you can check with?

Parts will be available as replacements for redlines with the competition package, not as an accessory. Basically you'll have to make your own Kit. As soon as I get parts lists I will let you guys know what you will need and what all is available. Saturn performance of Cory will be able to provide you with them.. ;)

There's a guy on here that already has it installed, and it was installed by Saturn. Cost him $2400. Took 8 days due to the issues you were talking about.

Partsspec...
I now understand that my Glenview guy is pulling together the parts list and will order all needed parts as a "replacement" rather than a "package." He also mentioned that there would be a new software version to go along with the "enhancements"... any idea (or can your sources tell you) what that software change will provide? More HP or torque? Extend the redline a bit? Any ideas?

Thanks for helping clear things up a bit re the competition package!

He just has the LSD, the LSD has been available for years, it's the same one in the Saab 93. His handle on here is CSCC... something like that.
