That is part of the intake manifold end plate / bypass . I broke mine when i dropped my intake manifold almost exactly the same section. I put it back together and drove it for 1k miles no issue at all even under boost. I did end up replacing it though as an excuse to get the dual pass endplate from zzp. If you dont wnat to spend the money for upgrade i definitely keep driving it.
