Ok, most of us that bought one either have it, or it's on it's way, so how do you guys feel about the intake? Notice much power? How about the sound? :D

I like it alot so far. GREAT sound out of the thing. I couldn't believe how much louder that thing got. Looks good in there. I was really suprised where our stock intake went up to. I sure feel like it's a bit faster, not a ton, and definitely more responsive to the gas pedal. I think Vita said it before as well, but it seem to make the whole car run a little smoother. My roommate even commented yesterday that I had finally got the shifting good and smooth. Seems like the 'bucking' on upshift and downshifts has really decreased... anyone else agree on theses or am I crazy about some?

I'd agree with ya shifting is definitly better and the car runs way smoother- plus the look on the guys face next to you when you wine out the gears :D

you wanna feel a smooth shift ask navymitch 12 or any of the other of how easy it is after a simple mod I showed them. As for the intake I still havent seen any good dynos on them yet. wonder why? o thats right I already know.

*edit
and Im glad you like the way it works for you though. As long as your happy thats all that counts.

Now that you put it that way, I'm pretty sure it makes 140 hp... I took an Enzo today from a stop light. It's cause I attached that 100' coil of 1/4" air tubing to the end of the intake. My air charge enters the K&N at just over the speed of sound...

shane is that you? I always thought you were the same. O well. Its perception I guess. When I use to do crap to my truck I always know its faster get it to the track and lose a sec. Crap what a waste. O well. A enzo huh. Just today I was next to a NSX he owned my ass though.

so what's this mod you speak of. i have to attest to the fact that it makes the car MUCH smoother after you've removed the airbox, MUCH smoother. performance wise, i couldn't tell ya, but the smoothness seems to make it better on the freeway, but that's likely because the filter is not next to the tranny and my intercooler wires are hooked up like they should be now. after all that and the update, the car was quicker.

as for the noise, it's not that bad. it won't drown out the stereo, but you'll hear it. as for me, i turn the stereo down when i'm getting on it just to hear better. sound is not loud unless you get on it, pretty much only at WOT

Yes.

That's how it is with all intakes. If a car were sitting there idling and it had a CAI you wouldn't be able to tell, only when you get on it. I'm kind of dissapointed that everyone thinks it is a waste of money. I certainly don't. I know that when I have the 18psi kit that the stock set up just wont be able to pull enough cool air in. You're going to have to get it sooner or later if your going to mod it like me.

I'm kinda confused. I'm not sure what the last two posts are all about, but GG are you talking about the torque brace? And i'm assuming you don't feel the intake makes much HP? And sp00ner, i'm guessing you disagree with GG for some reason? I think i read a good 70%-80% of the posts on this entire board, but i'm not exactly sure what's going on here.

Ok, now you're starting to scare me. I don't have mine yet and I like the 'whine' as much as the next guy, but I don't want it to drown out the damn stereo! Just how loud is it really?
Its very noticable when the radio is turned down but if your radio is at a decent level you can only hear the wine a little bit when you get the RPM's over 4k.

Dont be scared its really not that bad.

Not really, his reasoning for thinking the intake will not make a ton of horsepower is right on the money. I quite specifically pointed out that it didn't feel a ton faster. Do I think it's a bit faster? Sure do. He dosen't have faith in the 14hp claim, nor do most people with a decent understanding of how it works. If it gave me 3hp, along with the look, sound, and change in responsivness, it makes me happy. The Modern guys say it's more around 8hp on their dyno. Which is what most people here would agree with, I think. I'd like to think that it would help more one the 18psi kit is on, who knows.

I think it made a difference, I'd say 7-9. I love the sound and after the tach hits around 3800 my car is out. I did think the install was a pain in the ass tho

when i read in the group buy post that they were on back order from K&N i ordered one from modern performance. then like 2 days after i ordered it you let everyone know that you had just got them in so i'll just sell the one from the group buy.
