Motor swap

I want to swap the engine of my opel speedster from 2.2 Eco to a 2.0SC Engine.

But I need some information about the gearbox.

Is the RL Gearbox driven by two steel cables like the F23 Gearbox on the 2.2 Eco?
Wich gerabox is used in the RL?
Do both engines use the same ECU?
Or has anyone a photo form the ECU in the Redline?

I know the 2.0SC machtes in my car, because someone already mounted the Supercharger and the intercooler from the 2.0SC to the 2.2 Eco in the Speedster, because the 2.0 engine was not available.

they should have the right mounts, can't answer your question about the transmission, also, you'll need the new computer, as i don't believe they are the same, actually i'm 99% sure they aren't, might as well go full standalone anyways
In Germany there are only two different sorts of ECUs used for the ecotec motor generation.
There is one Version for the 2.0Turbo and one for 1.8-2.2L.
But the ECU from the 2.0Turbo is also used in the 1.2L engine.
Same ECU different program.
Therefore I need a photo from the ECU.

well, it's likely from the 2.0T, but i wouldn't assume, i'll try and remember to take a pic or two of it. like i said, if you're serious about this, you might as well go standalone as you're going to probobly pay the same unless you get it from a wrecked car, not to mention that none in europe will have the same program, and i'm pretty sure nobody has actually gotten into the PCM for the 2.0s/c yet

From what is know the gear box is straight out of the SAAB 9-3 2.0t.

"The boosted Ecotec mates to an eight-bolt flywheel and the five-speed F25 manual transmission, a heftier unit that also sees duty in the Saab 9-3."

I wanted to buy the engine which Saturn tried to sell on E-Bay.
Asked them abaout shipping to Germany. Their short answer : We don´t ship to germany
After I managed the transport with our company in USA, they told me , that the engine is already sold.
I´m still searchimg a complete engine.

Engines in the USA are cheaper than in Germany, and in Germany there is only this 2.0l 200HP turbo version available.
This turbo engines has got a lot of torque, original 185lb-feet (from 1900 to 5000) with changed programming 295lb-feet at 3000 , but it´s still no sports engine. And this engine has the turbo problem.
If you press the pedal to the ground, you´ve got to wait nearly a second until it reaches maximum boost level.
And if this happens too early in a curve, you can´t control the car anymore.

Both 2.0 motors the Turbo and SC are the same motor you would be better off finding a 2.0 in germany and buying a M62 or M90 Supercharger if you didn't want the turbo lag.
