Ohh i wouldnt do that....yet! I got the saleen side skirts waiting for install but havent gotten the bumpers or rims. I see nothing wrong with saying Saleen on the banner or on the side if u got all of this. Why not? U are using saleen genuine parts so why cant u wear their name? just like a k&n filter sticker or flowmaser or whatever. Now i wouldnt go as far as numbering it on the bumper and if someone asked me, i wouldnt lie, id say no its a gt with a saleen body kit.

thats sweet.... now i know what i should have done. bought a Quad Coupe, put the redline bumper and rims on it, slapped its ass and called it a redline. I dont mean to argue but the use of the name Saleen is lil more than just a component to your car such as an air filter. You cant go to just any Ford dealer and buy a Saleen. If you kitted it out, that would be cool, but if you badged it... that would just be wrong.

No problem, Also wanted to point out Reg QC is a 4 lug axle not 5 like the Red Line.

here we go again..man i got on this sight to talk to u RL owners and praise the car u have because i like it very much but since i drive a mustang seems most on here have to dog me. Anyways i would never tell anyone its a saleen if asked and if u have a body kit on it and all, then u can display the name saleen because thats who made the freaking stuff. I didnt say add a saleen air filter , if there is even such one, and call it a saleen

I don't think it's the fact that you have a Mustang, it's just that to some people, you're doing kind of a ricey thing by putting Saleen stuff on a GT. Even though if someone asked, you'd say "no, it's not really a Saleen".

It'd be the same as taking a v6 Camaro and putting an SS style hood and spoiler on it.

It sure would make that camaro look better by adding those parts. If i took a v-6 and did this then i can see all of your points. A 98 base model saleen is not much different then a normal 98 gt. A few suspension pieces here, some body parts and graphics, some better plug wires, air filter and a lil better exhaust, some brakes and thats about it.The biggest difference is the body itself. Now the supercharged model thats a different story. If i was to drop a cobra motor in my car and add cobra emblems then i guess that would be posing too. even tho thats the MAIN difference in the 2 cars is two more cams! oh well...i like the Rl

Also saleen in those years usually took off the fender GT badges and put pony emblems on there. The kind the v6 stang has. I guess Saleen is being ricey since it doesnt have a v6 in their!

I know it doesn't have a V6, I was just using the V6 Camaro as an example.....

Whatever man, I was just trying to explain that people aren't just giving you a hard time becase you drive a Ford.
