There was someone on here that just ran a hose down from the bottom of the box to just under the front air damn. I was thinking, if he can do that why not just run that hose down into that screen and go from there instead of under the car? Just a thought, what do you all think?

Which screen? The front ones? Those fake air ducts on the side?

That's nothing dude.

I didn't have the luxury of a saw or zizz wheel. I had to break mine apart one piece at a time using a pair of pliers. I got medievil on its ass and it ended up in about 75 pieces. :D

Mine came out in 3 pieces, shortly after the 4" grinder grabbed something, shot out of my hand, and hit my youngest son (18) in the face - only a flesh wound!!

Yeah, those. Except i took out the fake part and put Mesh in so now it's an actual duct. I just wonder if i can make a hose large enough to fit in that. It might look kind of weird with that fairly large opening and a small hose.

I was looking at this specific issue since last week. I was under the car for as long as I could be this weekend, snow on the ground, and there is some shit in the way. Where the hose would have to pass thru to the vent, it gets really tight next to the heat-exchangers and the frame/bodywork of the front end. I didn't look for too long, it was starting to rain/sleet/snow at the time, but I'm not sure what would need to be done to get the hose up there and in the vent. Also, if you stuff it behind the vent, and don't figure out something for the rain when you're driving, you're gonna end up with a wet filter, or an airbox full of water. I am trying to juggle the space issue, the rain issue, and the time to do it right now, any suggestions would be great.. even if it's something that I could hook up on a friday before the track would be great, it dosen't have to be hooked up 24/7.

I also though about sealing the 'box' that the air hose feeds into originally, and putting some sort of venting in there. My goal is to increase the air pressure at the intake by as much as possible, not just to ram air through the system. I've read that is one of the best things your can do for the intake of a forced induction car.

I have done this. I actually took apart the "snorkel" and then popped out the right fake vent and used the hard plastic part of the snorkel and placed it right where the hole is now so the air is being forced directly into the front where the tube is and then right into my airbox :) I will take some pictures and post them ASAP.
