I need someone to test something for me. Can someone confirm that while scanning with HP tuners, and just cranking the car, do you see any RPM on the scanner?
I am having a spark issue and have change my crank position sensor (which seems to have taken care of the DTC's) but I still have no spark. I have no other relevant DTC's so I am stumped. I have checked all the fuses and grounds, they are all fine. I have also ordered a new set of coil packs just to rule that out also. I appreciate any and all help.

You should see timing advance but you will not see RPM.

thank you guys. That is what I saw. Timing advance but no RPM. Anyone have any idea how I can better check for the spark? I would like to find a way to test for it from the computer if possible.

what about a pinout to the plug that the coilpack plugs into?

ground is supplied through the case of the spark plug, not the bolt on the coil pack.
