Certainly wasn't me. I don't live in Appleton, I commute 35 miles to appleton for work (Goodland Drive). But I do own a silver 2004 red line. I bought it last summer from someone on the board. STS, Lowered, traction bars, stage 2, 2.8" pully, 42" injectors, vibrant header, obnoxious exhaust. I don't put many miles on it, I drive it friday and the weekends.
I'm from the Ripon area. To be quite honest, I'm not much of a gearhead, I'm an enthusiast. I bought the car with everything done to it already. I understand everything that was added to it, but I'm not mechanically inclined enough to have done it myself. I'm a programmer, I'm just happy to keep it maintained.. oil, brake pads, filters that sort of thing.
would love to see the local community grow.
Also looking for a good dyno shop with cheap pulls.
I have hptuners so I could help tune or do case relearns
and I can help turn wrenches too. for a reasonable amount of beer.. lol
I am planning an ecotec meet for may 16.
If anyone remembers the meets we used to have in Columbus every spring and fall, you remember how much of a good time it was to meet to people in the community, and catch up with the familiar faces.
You can find the group page in facebook
I just picked up a 2004 Redline, almost stole it in fact. Paid $350 with no body damage and a clean title. It does need some work though, I ran a diagnostic and I have low compression in cylinder 4. It also blows smoke and misses badly. I am thinking I need new rings. The car has 136k and...
Just spotted a wingless silver Redline out in East Lansing on the way home from the kids' dentist appointments. I remember back in the day when I had my '04 RL, there were a few running around the Lansing metro area; I'm wondering if there are any more still out there. Anyone in the area?
