Good stuff... this guy flys up and crams himself between me, and the car that's about 3' in front of me, over the double lines for the exit lane, and had I not hit the brakes, he would have plowed my front end.

Follow him down the onramp, shift down into 2nd around 40mph, hold until the car in front of him clears, and I see him hit it. Dump clutch, press pedal, HIT BRAKES! I flew up into his bumper way quicker than I was used to. So, I jump into the left lane, and dump 2nd again around 5500 rpms, coffee flys out of the cup from the sudden accel. Shift into 3rd with his front bumper at my rear bumped, and just started walking him. Shut down on the 3-4 shift with a LARGE distance between us.

So what does the yuppie do? Ricer flyby!

So I instantly catch him again, roast him from a roll again, of course this time I'm being a total ass. Waving to him as I hit the gas an pull away, slowing back down, doing it again...

There's nothing more satisfying than slaughtering a yuppie in an Audi or Mercedes to me...

Do you know the model?

I went against a late model S4, the twin-turbo, from a roll at 45. We went a few times. Whoever got the jump kept the distance. That was only w/ an intake.

I didn't see him shift, but I dunno if S4s came in autos? But I assume AWD sapped power from a roll, and if was auto, even worse.

I've still yet to see a new S4 V8. Just on the lot. Man, do I want one of them.

99% sure it was the biturbo, but one of the newer ones. Wasn't sure at the time. I'll look it up.

Probably same kinda model. Would make sense. Neither one of us pulled on the other. But with stage II, it would've been a different story, as yours shows. Good kill.

Now go find a new(er) M3 and have some fun. I have a feeling the 333-hp ones will still be a bitch, but the ones before that? Nah.

Hmmm... I didn't know they went to the V8's by 2003... I've been looking at pics for the last ten minutes here, and the only ones that look right are the 2003 and up S4's... perhaps it was the V8!

You could get that one (2005) w/ the V8. And then there's the newer body style.

If you put that hurting on a 340hp V8, my word haha. They're heavy and w/ AWD sure, but still! Not calling BS at all. I was in Dan's Intese modded RL. If yours is anything like that (even with WINTER tires, which he had on) I can believe it haha. Sucker pullllssss.

Here's C&D's comparison between the two models... I assumed the V8 would be faster!

Thus, those willing to pay the S4 premium (at this writing, Audi would acknowledge only a "mid-$40s" starting point) will have 339 horsepower and 302 pound-feet of torque underfoot, compared with 250 and 258 for the 2.7-liter twin-turbo V-6 used in the previous S4. Which ought to add up to some pretty serious go, right? Ought to. But Audi's forecasts don't reflect this. Mated to the standard six-speed manual transmission, the slickest Audi manual yet (if you prefer an automatic, a six-speed Tiptronic with paddle shifters is due later this year), the S4 is expected to dash to 62 mph in 5.6 seconds. Top speed is limited to 155 mph.

This isn't exactly slow, but if the forecast holds up, we'd call it disappointing. The last S4 we tested ("Two Against One," October 2001) sprinted to 60 in 5.5 seconds. The most recent M3 tested needed only 4.5 seconds to hit 60 mph, and a Mercedes C32 AMG did 0 to 60 in 5.0 flat (January 2002).
To be fair, Audi tends to be conservative with its forecasts. Official expectations for the previous S4, for example, were 0 to 60 in 5.9. The new S4 is likely to weigh in almost 150 pounds heavier, but its power-to-weight advantage should make it quicker than the old car. And even if the S4 isn't blindingly brisk out of the blocks, that V-8 provides wonderful midrange punch.

As far as how my car pulls, RiceEater threw his MAF-T in the 'garbage' after getting the stage kit... hehe...

Nice kill! Some of those Audi's are pretty damn quick. Be careful with which Benz you mess around with though... I've been whooped pretty good by a couple. It's a beautiful thing when a $20K Saturn kills a euro sport lux car that cost's 2 - 4 times as much $, He-he.

Someone, I dunno who, once had the following analogy.

The SRT-4 : RL is like M3 : S4.

Having been in all of the above (except V8 S4), I'd agree. We're a TOUCH more posh than the SRT-4, but all around "smoother." The M3 is just mean and rough.

So those times could be right...and also add beliebability to your story, for anyone who disbelieves. If the S4 is only managing a 5.5 to 60 WITH AWD and that powerful a V8, then from a roll it should only get worse. Maybe, I dunno.

Either way, good kill. I bet the driver didn't like seeing that SATURN on the rear bumper...

That thing is a heavy beast! I test drove one at the local dealership for fun when I was thinking about getting an A3. I bought my RL instead.
