Well, Ive given up on my header order. That company can kiss my ass. Any way, I have been doing some brainstorming with a local shop and we have decided that a Greddy ecu SHOULD work on a RL. I am going in on tuesday to hook up and dynotune. I should see some pritty good gains. This shop has also been in contact with reps from AEM and Injen and he said that AEM will be out first and that they said there should be a release date "very soon." Im not going to hold my breath though. I will let you guys know how the ECU thing goes. If all goes well I will post up dyno results/gains on tuesday afternoon. I cant wait.

:D :D :D :D I hope u get atleast 30 hp man if so I have greddy ECU in my old Cavy!!!! I will do same thing!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

In cavy if i re mapped everything i gained 43 hp and 8 tq from the re map but the gas was gone in a day and a half no joke  So i re configured to be a daily driver which only gave me 22 hp and 3 tq :( (I also had turbo, and every bolt on possible)

Why did you go so low on tq? The RL runs so lean that I figure to lose a little gas. Im hoping for 20-25 WHP. I plan on running a little rich so I dont have to re map every thing when I get a intake. I have a exhaust, so with the piggy back Im hoping for minimum 225 whp, plus a short ram, I should break 230. Once some one else comes out with headers, 235 whp. Later on: pulley, rail (AEM may fit), and a diet (spare tire, rear seat, new front seat, carbon fiber hood). Through on some slicks and I should break into the 12's I hope.

Hate to be the buzz-kill GM, but a 12-second car with just those mods is a LITTLE far fetched, don't you think? My friend/coworker has a 2002 Grand Prix GTP with literally $9000 under the hood of his car and with BF Goodrich Comp T/A tires only runs a 13.2. I mean, a 13.2xx car maybe hopeful, but 12 seconds is a little more work than that. However, best of luck.

I have spend about 4,000 on my Regal GS and I am running 12.7 in the 1/4. and I have the same motor as a GTP. if he is oinly running low 13's with 9K done to it then there must be something wrong.

I don't think it's that far-fetched! I think there will be quite a few in the low 13's high 12's as soon as we can get some mods made, like header, exhaust, pulley, LSD, etc.
My Camaro ran 13.4-5's stock. Added intake lid and drag radials-ran 13.1-13.0. Added longtube headers,Stg 3 clutch,!cats, cutout, and MAFT to adjust A/F for headers etc. and now runs 12.5-12.6 everytime.
That's about $1200 in mods. I know they are two VERY different animals, but with traction, and the right combo of mods, I think the Redline/Cobalt will be there soon!(I hope!) :)

don't think we really need a fuel rail until after the boost is increased substantially, in fact i highly doubt it...

I would tend to agree, I don't think it is going to take a whole lot to get the car in the 12's. 290ish hp at the ground, some sticky tires and some misc. suspention and engine mount mods should do.
