Do we have any other Ohioans on here, besides Aeain and me?

We're having a get together on March 20th in Dayton if anyone from the area is interested.

I posted an idea of the Air Force museum over on SaturnFans. They've got a big parking lot, a nice outdoor park, and free admission to the museum if it's too cold. They have a cafe upstairs if we can't have a picnic outside. I'm sure we could find something to do there, even if no one wants to actually explore the museum.

Does that sound good? Any other ideas in addition?

Wow, I had no clue there were this many Ohioans hiding out on here!

If any of you in the Dayton area drive a blue RL and almost ran over a black Red Line VUE at Meijer yesterday, I have a bone to pick with you .... :p

Anyways, you Ohioans should hop over to www.sixthsphere.com and join up the Ohio chapter of STC (Saturn Tuners Club). I've been temporarily put in charge of it, to see if I can attract any new members, cause the Ohio chapter used to be real active, then sort of died out. The STC folks are really awesome, and I'd really like to get the Ohio chapter active again.

I live in Englewood and I work at the Airport side of Delphi, right on Dixie. You can probably see my silver Ion RedLine in the parking lot. Though, they are closing and moving this plant to the west side of Dayton...yay. I have a buddy that lives in Brookville and has a black Ion Redline, I should be able to recruit him as well. I work Sundays usually, but I'll see if I can make it out.

You're still welcome to come! Any and all Saturn fans are invited, regardless of what car they are currently driving. :) My brother drives a Toyota Cressida, but has been to 4 meets that I've organized so far.

The meet will definitely be at the Air Force Museum.

We'll be meeting between 11 and noon (come whenever you like) at the back of the parking lot for the air force museum - follow the signs to "RV and oversize vehicle parking" and look for a herd of Saturns.

The museum is open 9-5, and admission is free if we choose to go inside. I do not know if we will be able to grill outside, but I'll try and drive down there tomorrow and check it out.

There's a huge field where we can fly kites or remote airplanes or whatever, so maybe we can do some grilling there? I'll have to talk to some museum staff about it, of course, but I'll try and get us hooked up.

If you get there and see a herd of Saturns but no owners, we probably went inside or are otherwise hiding from you. Give me a call at 469-1801 - Dayton area code. (Not posting full number on here, just in case. ;) )

If you need directions, visit: http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/usafm.htm or mapquest the address:

Please post here if you are DEFINITELY going.

I'm trying to get a good count of how many people will be there. I've got 8 so far, not including any of you guys cause I haven't gotten any definites (except Aeain, but he got counted with the people on SaturnFans).

Okay guys, I just want to get something clear here. I've been talking to one of my friends that works at the museum and he had some good words of wisdom.

There are several runways and open areas that are accessible from the museum's parking lot. DO NOT BE TEMPTED BY THEM. The museum IS federal property and part of the air force base. The museum security WILL catch you and WILL call out the MPs on anyone caught screwing around on their property. DO NOT DRAG RACE, do not drive faster than the posted limit, do not sit their and burn your tires for no reason, do not do donuts in the open lots. We can have a small show with our hoods open, yes, but we CANNOT screw around in their lots.

I want this to be a positive experience and don't want anyone getting kicked off the base or arrested, so please be smart! There is a slim chance that in the future, my connections may be able to get us permission to play on the runways at a future meet, but that is a slim chance, and we definitely don't want to blow it!

If we can't grill there (which he thinks we should be able to), there is Eastwood Metro Park just down the street that I KNOW we can grill at. That will be a good option if the weather is nice. :)

No at da FD. Sorry for the confusion. Not a jarhead...guess you could call it paramilitary. I'm still low on the totem pole as well. Anywho, let me know if this is for sure and if there's anything I should bring.
