Guys with boost guages, what is the peak boost that you seen with your RL?

FYI we have a hub and pulley system on our RL. The bigger pulley makes about 16psi and seems to be doing well with the factory fuel system. We are going to try the smaller pulley tonight and see how the air/fuel ratio fairs and what kind of boost we make.

it rises to 12 psi then actually flutters at 12 psi until redline, i think the boost is being released and has the potential to go higher with stock pulley but i havent figured it out yet. i do know the supercharger control solenoid reports directly to the pcm so i think thats a good place to start looking

Pull the hose off the firewall side of the solenoid and plug the hose.

I think i already tried that along with every other vacuum line but saw to increase in pressure, i will try again to make sure, will let you know how it works.

dude you are a genius i did it and just got the boost to jump to 15 psi at idle reving to 5000. but the super charger sounded like a cat squealing when it jumped to 15 psi is that normal?

someone show me a pic of this and tell me if it is safe as soon as possible i want to get more power
the picture is on the core support when you open youre hood the vaccuum line runs from the intake maifold up and to the right then curls forward to the back of the solenoid, pullit loose in the back and plug it . as to how safe it is I dont know.

it should be just the hose, thats where the solenoid gets its pressure reading from to release at 12 psi, man now i understand what psi man ment iv been thinking backwards the whole time, you are fooling the pcm to think that the boost is at opsi so it lets it go higher, I think im right anyway,,j

Hey I think if I have figured this right at 2 1/2 pounds of boost that like 50hp correct me if I'm wrong. But that what I'm get from the guys at Racing Innovation here in Knoxville. What hose did you plug? send a pic for the rest of us. Thanks if you can PM me that to so I can post it on my web site. Hey Guys I'm also looking for info to post so PM with any info.
Thanks

itll make 12 at 4500 and stick there to the next shift. You get 2lbs at 1000 rpms and it carries to 12lbs at 4500 so you can do the math 2500rpms 8psi.

thats right the computer does control the boost, i guess this was going to be their stage 1 upgrade by taking that 12 limit out. the downside is now that valve is not open at cruising, the downside is it will take more power to turn the supercharger over at lower rpms. when its open it takes that pressure out. but anyways with your larger pulley PSI how many pounds did you pull? im sure 15 is the max for our fuel system....

i also think that the boost limiter is set even lower below 3000 miles for a break in, (some people say they feel a boost in power, im only at 2300k miles, ill let you know when i get my gauges next week)

and those with boost gauges, what vacuum line did you tap?

50 hp, uh - no way. Someone help me, I think the superchager adds about 60hp over all to the 2.0. So an increase to 15 psi from 12 psi is about 25%. So an increase of 25% of 60 hp is about 15 additional ponies if you remove and plug the vacuum line. PSI guys said the laminova heat exchanger had room to spare so you guys will probably be okay with this mod without any overheating problems.
