cool I will look for you next Sat.
i plan on it man i looked at the website the other day it said test and tune 1-7 now they are having an event there i still may go but buy in is 50 bucks. thats where i ran the 12.4 was almost a 12.3 but oh well. I was short shifting to fourth and found out i didnt have to, and it was my first time on this setup shell go low 12's and if i add 110 and timing high 11's is my goal

I don;t think it's a myth. Just means your not getting the most power out of your setup. Just cause you can run 11s on a 2.25 exhaust doesn't mean a bigger exhaust can't help.
An exhaust with good scavenging is better on the lsj the the biggest u can fit this has been proven time over no one listens though

Not sure what point you were trying to make there. But again, I am not saying a 2.25 won't suffice for most LSJs. I mean you did put a smaller than stock exhaust on your car. Net gains can be made from a bigger exhaust. Never once did I mention a 3 inch. That is overkill on 99% of LSJs out there. Your trying to make the aruguement "well I hit 11's on 2.25" so that is all that is needed" Whereas the fact is more power can be had from an exhaust bigger than a 2.25.

Im not doubting that peak power can be made. But I like where my car sits now and since I also race circle track I like my low and midrange with the gmp. Not to mention sound of my exhaust > all other lsjs. If I want a 2.5 ill bend one at work and test it as of now I like the gmp. And the stock one narrows to 2.25 in various places as well. The gmp has proven dyno gains vs the stock catback and that's even without a tune

Vice impressive results.

It has been proven that you don't NEED a 3" cat-back on a supercharged LSJ to make big numbers or run fast track times. Would it hurt? Probably not.

Spend the money on header instead.

So the mods you listed before are all of them? You don't have any kind of internal motor work done?
those are all of my mods yes. intake full exhaust 80's meth injection. TVS on a 2.7 and of course hp tune. Completely all stock internals. Next if i cant break into the 11's i will port and polish the head do valve springs and raise limiter to 8k to really be able to wind third out

right and soon i will do a comparison to see how much low end to midrange is sacrificed for the minimal peak power you may improve on going to a 2.5 or bigger exhaust. Not to mention they sound like complete ass

i will add that this is with 72k on my car and last week had a compression of 225 across the board. Take care of your car and have a GOOD tune she will be fine on stock internals

With the right 3" setup it will sound good...it just costs money and takes some fabrication. I know I have a setup no one else has, whether its good or bad it seems to perform and I get compliments on the sound a lot :) But I have had some exhaust setups that sounded less than great as well. My friend has your EXACT exhaust setup with my old vibrant de-catted dp and I must say it sounds very good.

This^ Stock internals can handle a pretty good amount of power and abuse as long as you have a good tune and the right tools to moniter what the engine is telling you.
