I Came across a problem on the Redlines but Saturn does not see it as a problem. Our redlines are equiped with a "+/-" set/accelerate button on the steering wheel. It's my impression that this button can be used to increase or decrease the speed of your car while the cruise control is in use. I use the button in this fashion and there have been a number of times while using the +/- the cruise control shuts down where you can no longer set your speed. After months of in and out of the shop with my 2004 and now my 2005 redline Saturn engineering says this is normal. The cruise control is invoking a fail safe and shutting down the cruise control system. The cruise control on these cars are computer controlled and do not have a seperate servo mechanism like all other cars. There are only 3 cars in the GM line that are computer controller, the Redline, Cobalt, and Corvette. Use the +/- to alter your speed, not just one time but use the control like an accelerator and see what happens. I thought the +/- could be used in this manor but it appears that it is only there to set the speed and then take your chances beyond that.
