Over the weekend I picked up a 2006 Redline with just over 208k and a k own missfire. The plan is to dix her up and build her better over the next year as I go though auto mechanics school. I will document the work I do to her in this thread and answer any questions anyone might have. The goal is to have a beefed up like new Redline to drive home from graduation in just over a year.

Investigated the miss fire and found the problem

That was fun to get out of the engine. It did damage the cylinder wall causing it to have lower compresstion then the other cylinders.

Yikes. That'll def cause a miss. Looks like bottom end work is in order now.

So i know i have not been updating this but the projecr is lokking like it is dead. There is abput 3k worth rust repair i am not sure if i will ne dealing with. I am going to take the summer and look at money and what options are availbe.
