A few facts for starters.
RedLine: 14.6
Tiburon Gt:15.2
This is my best time and my friend with a Tiburon Gt's best time.
238 posts 24 pages and all you guys did was talk a lot of shizit and get into a pissing contest when all a guy wanted was some facts about two cars. Not the last 20 yrs of mustangs, camaros, cavaliers, and a lot of other random crap. Thats why when it comes to facts about RedLine performance, and probly a few other cars, this board will always be at the bottom of the barrel.

looks like ld9 has a new screen name, or maybe an inbread relative? i can tell by the post that redlined and myself have triple digit iq's, but judging from the 2 posts of yours i read yours only gets into double digits if you square it, anyways, redlined, nice time, same for the tib though, surprising on the tib actually, didnt realize they were capable of that, but .6 is alot in the 1/4 so, redline owns tiburon

Thanks 88ls1blazer, its bout time somebody agreed with me. If you want to read a long piontless thread where joe modder claims to have beaten a RedLine with a stock geo metro, then read the one titled Geo Metro Owens pos RedLine.

This is a post from this website and a few others. I looked this up just for you Joe :D

Marcus Crebo here from Saturn of Peoria, IL ... I posted this on the Redline
forum as well.

On October 17, 2004 Saturn of Peoria commissioned me to take one of our Redline ION demo's to a test & tune event at Cordova Dragway Park. As you would expect the Redline transported us flawlessly to and from the track.

Once at the track I unloaded all the misc. travel items, but made sure to leave all factory components such as the spare tire for an accurate representation of street weight.

After the standard tech. inspection I pulled a number of quarter mile passes. The ET's started out at a lack-luster [email protected] That first run included a 2.591 60 ft. time with wheel spin galore as I got used to the ION's dynamics. Eventually I was able to hone that ET down to a [email protected] with my best 60ft of the day at 2.212 seconds. Along the way the ION pulled off a number of 14.6's, 14.7's and 14.8's! Considering GM reported a [email protected], I was impressed to say the least.

For the record the quickest runs were with normal tire pressures. Lower tire pressures did not help tire spin much and the top end mph. suffered. All runs were completed using 93 octane fuel from a local gas station and absolutely no modifications were put in place and just over 1000 miles on the odometer.

I will try to get a copy of the best time slip uploaded soon, but until then I'll list off the numbers.
.589 - R/T
2.212 - 60'
6.217 - 330
9.449 - 1/8
75.91 - MPH
12.215 - 1000
14.544 -1/4
96.31 - MPH

So the Redline's can run...Go get 'em.

OK so just because its posted I should believe it? Lets see some slips. You have no proof. If you ever even tried to pull up on the likes of an SRT-4 you would get raped beyond belief. And sorry for the delay between posts but I do have a life outside of the internet unlike you sitting in your parents basement masturbating to pictures of naked children laying all over a slow, piece of shit plastic car that can barely break 200HP supercharged. Get a real car. until then I'm out.

You know the major reasons trolls arise is that they are jealous that a new car is going to beat theres. Same thing happened with the srt4. Y cant they just get rid of there car that is obviously not on par with an srt4/redline/wrx and just hop on the band wagon.. I mean cmon... cant we all just get along??

Oh, and the last time i checked the srt-4, the car you think is Gods gift to fwd, is only making 25 mor hp than the RedLine. The Srt-4 is pushing 2 more psi and doesn't have mufflers and it only makes a measly 25 more hp. I bet if you drop the srt-4's boost by 2 psi and add some mufflers it will make as much or even less hp than the RedLine. BTW scdyne's header makes the RedLine put more hp to the wheels than the SRT-4. So please, before you say anything else think about it really hard first.

There is no way that you can actually say a Metro will beat a redline. Even a Tiburon can't compete. Look at the numbers and you can see. Are you just looking to talk about something? A Metro isn't even in the same category. If you want to talk good about them, then brag about the fact that you are getting like 60 mpg with your 3 cylinder engine. Otherwise, my riding lawnmower could beat a Metro in a race. And the Tiburon, well, #1 in initial satisifaction right? Unfortunatly, they are like #90 once the shock of buying some crap like that sets in and you realize that you are stuck with it for 5 years.

Somehow I am guessing that you don't speak from experience. Where exactly was Saturn on that list and why does the Tiburon's durability even matter to you?
Considering that the RL has been out for how long now, it is still an underdog in terms of public perception I really doubt this is the time to be ragging on other makes.
It's funny how a thread about two cars racing can turn in to such a pissing contest.

Just another .02
