i will possibly after monday be able to offer replacement rotors for the redline. these are cross drilled and slotted. they are NOT oem rotors from gm that i am drilling as these are having the problems. i will be using brembo oem stock these are manufactured by brembo to oem measurements. once these are here we will be drilling or slotting them or both depending on what is needed. i need to see how many of you would be interested in this so i know if it worth the time and money to order these, because if i do to get you the price i plan on getting i will have to buy in large quantity. they will come silver zinc plated. gold and black is an available option from the machine shop i am working with. there will be an extra cost for the gold or black but thats will be your choice. i am working out the fine details now with brembo on the price of the oem replacements. i can say i will be able to keep it under 300 for ALL FOUR FRONT AND REAR. if you only want front i will be able to do that also. shipping should not be more than 30-40 dollars for all 4 rotors to you. they will have to be shipped from my shop as we are drilling them here. these are NOT YET available from me. this is a thread so i can see what the interest would be if there is enough i can have these here within 2 weeks. let me know.

also we will be doing a big brake upgrade for the front rotors only. these will use the stock caliper with a relocation bracket to mount the caliper on the larger rotor.

and lastly brembo before the end of the summer will have our full big brake kits ready, these have a 4 piston front caliper with 13" rotors and will come with a reloctaion bracket and larger rotors for the rear. let me know with any feedback thanks

okay rotors should be ready to ship by thursday of next week the big break kit is a little ways out but not to far. i do not have any price set on these yet for thew big break kits i mean.the rotors will come in just under 300 that i can promise. here are your option for the rotors...
you can either get silver zinc plating
or for 7 dollars each rotor you can get gold or black zinc plated ill post a pic of what the colors look like. they are not redline rotors but you can see the color at least.
second you can get
a) cross drilled and slotted which is standard for us to do
b) only slotted
c) only cross drilled
for the slotted or cross drilled only the machine shop i deal with charges me
5$ more for each rotor, so that would be a total of 20$ more.

personally i would just get the standard set of silver, cross drilled and slotted ones. i prefer them to the gold or black. i will try to get a round about price on the big brake kit asap, i just nee to go over a few things with brembo. as i said these should be ready to ship by next thursday as long as i get my stock in from brembo by that time if there is any delay i will let all of you know asap. i will post a set price for these by tomm morning. i just need to fugure in what brembo is charging me for the shipping of them here. i ordered a LOT of them so i should get a discount. they will be faxing me a total tonight for the shipping then i can figure in the price for all of you. shipping as i said to all of you will be 40-45 dollars remembar these are not that light; unless you are in canada or hi, or alsaka. there is also a cartain are of wa. that costs a fortune to ship to from here in fl i dont know why but it does. i will be posting those "special" shipping prices as well. talk to you all soon thanks for the interest!!!

Is it true you cant turn the drilled/slotted rotors?

I was told that you can turn the drilled ones, since the have the chamfered edge. The slotted ones I had, they said you cannot, since the 'blade' will catch the edges of the slots... The Stillen ones, look like the edges of the slots are chamfered as well, but I'm not sure on that...

I just want the big kit front and back. And if I read that correct it would be all new hardware up front and the current front would be the back.

that is correct goofy. and all are correct on not cutting slotted rotors, this is not a good thing to do and usually will damage the tool more than the rotor even. cross drilled can be done but by someone who has experience with cutting them not your local dealer. the rears will be re-location brackets to mount the stock calipers in the right position and also at the right angle and placement. these will be along soon.

I would be interested in the rotors and possibly even the Big Brake kit when it becomes available.

*Now here's a mod the wifeys and girlfriends can't bitch about. Making the car safer. :D *

My girl will find a way... she'll tell me not to drive that fast, and I won't need better brakes... sigh... she looked at me like an idiot for buying a boost gauge... "Why do you need that, you can tell when it's on, it noisy as hell and the car goes faster..."

She just don't get it!

They can always find something to bitch about. However, if I tell my wife I'm improving the brake system rather than making it go faster (for once), I think she'd lay off a bit. :)

I just order things now and slap them on as soon as they get dropped off, then I tell her after they're on. Or, in the middle of putting them on!
