What kinda car were you in?
SI stands for Slow Import
At one time I had respect for Civic Si's, and then one dumb girl, 4 huge white rims, a fart can, and a late night race took it all away....
Just for a little history.... The car raced is a purple EK Civic Si. Know mods are a CAI, catback, and white 18" rims. I see this girl around town almost everyday. But it wasn't until coming back from HIN in boston that we finally met side by side, with me driving the RL; it went something like this....
My buddy and I were cruising along the highway at about 70mph around 11:30. We come up to this merge area and just as I'm about to change lanes right, out of no where this purple streak and a deafening fart can cut me off and fly by doing ~90mph. I notice the huge white rims and immediately know its that girl. I look at my buddy frank and he says go for it, so I leave it in 5th and put it to the floor to catch up to her. Within <1/8th mile we catch and pass her in a tight corner that (being the unskilled ricer that she is) she slows way down for. Then coming out of the corner onto the long straight I hear the noise that could only come from a fart canned USDM B series, and sure enough, miss vehteck goes flying by again. This time I wasn't caught off guard. I let her get about 3 car lengths ahead and gently slip it into 3rd. By the time I go wide open she's pulled to about 7 car lengths ahead (we had slowed down to about 60 after the corner, and i was taking my sweet time shifting). 3rd gear is over fast and we're starting to make up ground. I nail 4th and suddenly she's coming up very very fast. Frank gets ready at the window to point and laugh... oops too late. We fly by so fast he can't even get a look at the driver. I continue to pull on her for about 3-5 seconds more which is enough to make her headlights a speck in the mirror. I flash the hazards and slow down to 50mph and get in right lane and wait.... and wait..... and wait... wait for it..... its coming... any second now.......WOT RICER FLY BY!!! I really thought Si's were faster than that, it is a mid 15 second car... But the sad thing is that I don't think she let off that entire time because she had to be doing over 100mph on the fly by. I think it actually took her almost a 1/4 mile to catch up to us.

So you've never seen an Si in that body style? Do you live under a rock or are you just smoking too much weed, or maybe you're one of those mullet boys? Maybe you just don't know your body styles. I could go around my small town and take pictures of at least 5 late '90s Si's for you. As a matter of fact, I was looking at buying a '99 Civic Si on monday. Why don't you call up Honda and ask them if they made an Si from '96-'00, cuz I'm sure they'll be happy to tell you that they did. Please lay off the coke Mr. Self Proclaimed Import Lover.
Then why was she WOT from the time she passed use exiting the corner, until at least the time we passed her back?
Why is it so hard to believe that I rapped a <130whp Si, but when someone says they smoked a 350Z, Cobra, Viper, F360, F1, Hayabusa, etc; everyone just goes along and says "fo sho, awsome kill yo, RL ownz joo".
