man i love subies and all cars, and i have great respect for the srt, and now redline and cobolt ss.....

it pisses me off that a fellow wrx owner would join the site to talk trash, frankly half the shit he says is retarded, im just trying to say sorry not all subie guys are bad in fact i think we are a great group....

im happy to see the progress you guys are making with mods and such and i hope to run one in the future

subies are definatley beatable i drive an sti and i wont race an srt from a roll and expect to win.....

ps, all this talk about wrx vrs redline, you guys slightly modded should be able to take these rexs you have beaten from a roll, but from a dig and a good launch they should be getting way more the half a car length so race a wrx driver that actually can drive.... but never the less sweet cars man, and i love that supercharger wine

hey STIman I appretiate the concern for the idiocracy of a fellow subie and I love the STI's have from day one. Many thanks and hope to see you on the street some day maybe a race will be in hand.
It's nice to see other people with the courtesy to show enthusiasm towards cars unlike thier own.
Between the Evo drivers and the WRX/STi drivers, does anyone else notice that the Scooby drivers appear to have a more realistic view on everything? As in, the majority of them are actually level-headed, intelligent people (WRXdriva is just an idiot). A lot of us muscle guys (or hell, just true car enthusiasts) seem to share the same opinion.

STiman: it's good to see your one of us "normies" lol.
I wish there were more people like you. Have a passion for your own car but yet still open to others. Oh and I would've bought an STi (great for winter, but yet still fun in summer...damn canadian winters..lol I say that to much) but the price tag was just way out there for a 18 yr old university student...lol.
well im very happy to be a normie, or a real car lover

it really sucks to have one guy make subaru guys look so bad cause in reality i know we have tremendous respect for your cars, its nice to see saturn/gm finally get into the game, just one request....people make a few more videos :p

all i hope is that wrx driva learns the food chain cause at subaru he is towards the bottom

STi then FORESTER XT then WRX then Legacy GT

i used to have an XT and it rips wrx's a new one, watch out wrx DRIVA

I'm making the same request lol. I LOVE watching IRL vids, but damn people, a guy can only watch the same ones over and over (and over, hehe) so many times!

If I can get my hands on a digital video recorder i would..hell i might use my digital camera and use movie mode too...lol. This friday I may be racing an '04 Celica GTS...it'll be fun:D.

Lookin' forward to the possible race vid... but we already know the outcome lol. Without F/I, Celicas are total pooches. I know: I used to own one.

This probably has something to do with the demographics of WRX/STi owners. Most of them are probably not still in high school, especially STi owners, unless you're in a rich area with parents that will buy them anything. Even then, the immature high schoolers (for the most part they're immature, and that's who we end up seeing on here causing a ruccus) tend to look past these types of rides and go for something else, like the SRT or something else.

It seems that the STi owners that have come on here showing respect moreso than WRX drivers. Probably because the STi owner has his head on right, being more of an enthusiast who is able to respect the engineering put into other tuners.

With that said, thanks for coming on here and saying what you said STIman. Automatic respect for you right there. Welcome to the site and hopefully you find out some interesting aspects of our cars.

the other day i saw a brand new black red line in a persons driveway maybe he will be up to making a few videos.......if your on this forum

i saw the black red line in bethesda maryland a few mins away from landon school just off of wilson lane, parked outside in the driveway
Hey STIman do you vacation in FL? cause if so I would race ya w/video :D
Wow, thanks for the respect. You're a true tuner if you ask me, I respect all cars who want to go fast. I love going from a roll against a WRX, it's a lot of fun to beat them. Trapping 95+ really helps, the Redlines like to pull up top. But from a dig it isn't the greatest, hands down to the WRX definitely. I raced one at the track and he ran a 13.9 @ 89 mph. Damn, would have been great from a roll ;)

13.9 @ 89?? Did he miss 4th and just coast or something?

Nope, but he took off like a bat out of hell. I talked to the guy and he said he didn't let up. Was trapping that speed pretty consistently through out the night. WRX's IMO tend to fall flat on their face in third gear. But you go from a dig and they make you look silly if you have a FWD car, lol...

Well at the dyno day in Moorestown in a couple weeks, I will try and get a video of at least one run on every car in attendance. I'm just gonna need major help getting the video onto my computer and onto the net and then onto the forum. But that video of the RL walking that VW (1.8T?) was nice, as was the RL hangin w/ the EVO to the end. NOTE: they were both the same video and that's one of the 3 that I've seen. The other two I saw were of a dude showing of the incredibly loud and almost orgasmic whine of his supercharger, and the other was of a dude pacing a Z28 Camaro and an M3, 2 cars that some of my friends think are "untouchable" in that SRT-4 kind of way. Sorry to the respectable SRT owners here, that comment was aimed at those idiot owners that come here and troll.
welcome, we're really not bad about it, but i think it's been to the point where there's been so many trolls, it's hard to not just let loose on them. we definitely don't make all owners of a certain car to be asshats because one is, we just like to keep things interesting, especially since it seems we're at kind of a slow spot in discussions because we're basically waiting for things to come out now. again, welcome!
I came REALLY close to buying an Sti.....until I spoke to my insurance agent!!!!
How much did your STi run ya? I have a problem when the price of the car starts getting into the $30-$40,000 range. I start comparing them to Corvettes, which I find to be the ultimate. Yea, you can debate on that a bit, but there's no changing my mind on it. The sticker prices I remember seeing on the STi and the Evo were real high, I'm thinking mid 30s. So of course, the first thing I'm thinking is I'd rather get a year old C5. So what did you guy(s) end up paying for the STi?
