I and my friend both have Srt's, he has had the chance to race a redline I have not. When I was with him we were at a light and a redline pulled beside us, and we thought it was just a saturn, neither me or him knew what a Redline even was. Well, the light turns green and the redline took the lead, but we caught him in 2nd, and past at the end of 2nd. But, once you guys actually get some good mods I can gaureentee you'll see the true bueaty of a supercharger anyways just wanted to let you know how it went.

Your car is faster that is for sure and you posted something without flaming our car.Once some people do some mods for the rl maybe things will get interesting.Only time will tell.

That is very true I hope they come out with a bigger supercharger or something becuase I love a challenge. But, in my Srt I'm not the fastest thing around I get owned too.

I'm curious, top end of 2nd in my RL is just a hair N of 60mph... do remember how fast you were going when you shifted out of 2nd?

My SRT does 67 at redline in Second. But I think a stock SRT will do 63-64 if I remember right

hey SRT-4, i don't want a bigger supercharger.... just a more efficient one. hopefully Whipple or Kenne Bell will do a twin-screw for our cars.

A twin-screw, that would be redonkulous. But damn I thought Redlines had some of the longest second gears around, didn't realize that the SRT's was so long too. My friend's 2002 WRX cant get much if at all beyond 60. Pretty cool.

I was wrong, I took second all the way on my way home from work and 63 @ 6500 rpm is all my 2nd gear will do

I usually never quite take it to the red line, so I can stay in the power. I usually shift at 5800, and that is just shy of 60.

a guy followed me to the gas station ( wich I never have a chance to pass ) say's " dude I think there is a problem with your car ! " I told him I don't think there are any problems, I ask him why? " I saw a two foot flame shoot out your tail pipe while you were getting on the freeway !!!!! " I told him thats normal Sucks I never get to see it, other people always do, hehe ..... the only time I've got to see flame out my tail pipe was a dyno vid I took a few weeks ago ....

I have noticed that your SRTs burble and crackle like hell from the pipes. Is that the lack of a muffler letting the engine noise out like that? Or is it from running rich like alot of forced induction engines?

Mostly it is because there isn;t a muffler and it does run VERY rich, but atleast for the stage upgrades they programit to sound more " AGRESSIVE " on the deceleration ...... I guess thats what they call agressiveness .....

Mine is a bit louder because I have the Mopar cat deleat pipe in mine

So basicly, I have a totally open exhaust

That burble is what I really like about the SRT-4. Backfiring is fun GTO's are programmed to do it. Our RLs have a little burble to 'em...

I know that a very good performance shop that is going to come out w/a twin charger setup for the redline/cobalt...T3/T4 ta boot!!

What I would like to see is a turbo kit for the redline. Turbos are way better for front wheel drive cars because your tires get a chance to start rolling before all that boost is thrown on them. The roots type supercharger is nice because it makes all its power right off the bat but I think a smaller pulley will just create alot of traction issues.

Flames come out our tail pipes? Huh. Under what conditions? And how do I recreate it.

drill a hole in your exaust pipe twords the end hook up spark plug too hole with a wire from the battery to a switch, run your car a little rich rev it a few times and hit the switch and it should make fire.... or you could just buy this kit https://eatmyflames.com/single-exhaust-flame-kit.html
