Has anyone figured out a way to removed the supercharger lag in second gear around 2-3500 rpms? I drove a 2005 home from the dealership yesterday and there is no lag whatsoever in the boost. I remember very earlier on someone had come up with a solution, but the lag has returned. Any ideas?

um....there technically isnt any lag as its always spinning, its just making full boost because its not spinning fast enough I beleive

but I remember what you are talking about, search the forums for gtp, cuz the link was to GTP info b/c it should be the same I beleive

How many miles is on your car? Sounds like its not broken in yet. Take it easy til your first oil change. After that you'll notice a difference in power
True, but the problem will still be there. My guess is that second gear is so long the supercharger takes more time to reach full boost in that gear. And so it gives you the impression that the supercharger is lagging.

once you get a boost gauge you will realize that the boost is always on tap. At around 2000 you get 6psi. Itll wind up to 12psi at 4500 rpms and then it leaks so it wont go over.

Spin it faster

The only way a supercharger or turbocharger is gonna make more power is to spin it faster. These things really need to get going to make a difference. The 'lag' on a supercharger is partly due to spinning it's internal mass. The engine still has to spin that device like any other device. With a turbo the exhaust needs time to heat up and build pressure to spin the turbine, and with a supercharger the engine needs time to build boost to overcome the strain of spinning the supercharger.

Second gear is great, its first gear that sucks
you said it man, WAY too short, especially once these things start to see some serious power increases
