I still have some issues driving in first - always hard to get it back in there from turning and slow down. It has been this way for as long as owner 9 years now.
Maybe could have been looked at but I have done alot to the car and where does it end taking it to get it fixed all the time.
Anything over 5 mph it's not worth putting back into 1st gear and yes it is difficult to do in my experience as well since new.

Seconded. It's difficult because the synchros have to spin up to such a high speed, so don't force it and just wait for the shifter to slot into 1st on its own with moderate pressure appplied.

I have had 3 redlines all have been hard to go back in 1st. Just the design.

Also what you m an its easier to d ive in "sport mode"? We dont have drive mode selectors
I noticed the same thing from that user repeatedly. I dont intend this to be rude, however I dont think they actually have a redline and also think they're not even in North America..the profile's flag used to be Philippines or something like that and all their replies are either super generic, copy and pasted, or not applicable at all. Just my 2 cents

As far as first gear goes, never go into it while rolling. These cars are torque-y enough that even at a dead stop you could use 2nd if need be. I run 235s and first still lights em right up 🤣

Haha the lowest I can run 2nd is about 10 mph, any lower and it's really rough shaking. The 60# siemen's injectors I have don't allow for a smooth idle any lower than 1000rpm lmao.

And not to be a nerd but tire tread width doesn't actually affect grip that much at all, only how quickly tread wears down. Tread compound is what really makes a difference in grip.

Neeerd jk, me too haha. Thats a mixed bag though, on one hand 235s are just under 2" more tire width(I know I know Im flipping between metric and SAE)..however my point is there is more friction(traction) available. When I had the factory 215s, both 1st and second were damn near unusable. I'm running Continental DSW06+..both in 215(now on dads IRL) and 235s on mine. Biggest difference in traction I've noticed is temperature..cold with no moisture is equal to warm with moisture. In my experience wider tires are also more effective with braking distance too. -End of nerd rant 🖖🏻

I appreciate it man! Yea, if it seems off, I can check the IP address. Trying to keep this forum clean for the little bit of traffic we get from time to time. Seen a few other forums fail because of mods/admins who didn't care.
