Learn to better drive what you have now 1st. Driver mod always comes first. Otherwise, things just get broken, lol. ;)

LOL - I thought the new 2.4 was faster than the old Twin Cam, lol. I squeezed 15.9's @ 87 mph outta my '98 Grand Am GT coup with the 2.4L with a 5 speed, 100% stock at 2000+ ft altitude. :p

Post the slip or at least tell us what it says; probably driver mod if you're not used to the IRL on a track. I used to talk about how hard they were to drive at the drag strip before I bought a MS3, lol - now I just say they're not the easiest. :p

ANyway - do post you slip; looking at the breakdown of r/t, 60', 330, 1/8, 1000', and final et/trap tells a LOT. For instance, 15.4 @ 90 is odd right out of the gate - that trap is horribly slow, so it couldn't have just been your launch. It's low even for a 15.4 - I took my old 2.4 cyl Grand Am to a 15.9 @ 87 and I got the MS3 to 15.6 @ 93 launching in 2nd, lol.

Might be the car needs work, something in the engine/tune; might be clutch - or you might really need to work on shift technique, etc - bouncing off the limiter a couple of times would also show an ET/trap like that.

Post slip!
