The K&N intake is better than the 3" zzp one. My wife's redline had the K&N and mine the ZZP and hers sounded better and was a bit quicker.

I am getting the itch here for the K&N

My mechanics say it will take some extra gas too

Will I be spending more at the pump?

ZZPerformance I guess isn't as popular in the east

I know the guys on Gas Monkey talk about them though :pimp:

Shouldn't effect milage, just the sound.
ZZP is about the only place around to get good aftermarket stuff for our cars unless you need specialized parts then powell has good stuff.

Need some help with the front hose -TB

Going to clean the TB soon

what do I do with the hose connected to the front

of the TB

Do I need to take this off - If so

How do I proceed? - I tried to tug on it a little

but it did not budge

- not sure I know the names of the parts so I could have missed this

in the tutorial

Just kidding. You're welcome! I'm glad to see that this tutorial is still helping people out. My redline is quietly tucked away in one of my carports for a rainy day. Hopefully this site will still be alive enough for me to read some build threads :):bananahum:

Until you find a girlfriend, just tug on it. :boohoo:

The vacuum hose is connected to a barbed fitting I believe. It takes a bit of working it to get it lose. Since these cars are no less than eight years old now, it may not hurt to measure the hose, and buy a replacement. Then just cut the old one off. That tubing tends to dry rot.
