For some reason my original post wasn't posted. I prolly did something stupid.

I was in my local saturn dealership Tuesday, and I was hoping they might have an ION Redline in. I go in and the receptionist calls for a sales clerk. I see a poster on the wall featuring the two Redline series vehicles with the slogan "Turn 0-60 heads in 1.6 seconds." When the sales agent (or whatever they're called) came out, I asked about the ION Redline. She said they didn't have them on the lot yet, but they did have two VUE Redlines in already. I didn't ask to see them since I didn't want to cause them any trouble what with me not buying one for likely a year or more. But that brings hope, the VUE Redline is in. She mentioned that some people thought that the Manchester, NH had one, but apparently it was a hand modified one. I think I remember seeing something on some website about some car being there. I don't know much about it. Just posting what I found out.

Someone with access to the plant build schedules let me know that 03/15 is the launch date for the Redline ION... I hope that's true...

Ok, the current build date is in March, and I have heard they will hit stores early April.

i posted this because i saw the poster. if i had any idea what 1.6 seconds was, then i'd tell you. i was actually hoping someone here could tell me.


maybe it's the 0-60 speed of the unloaded engine with an imaginary transmission that will go to 65mph in first.

on a side note: OMGWTF SOMEONE REPLIED TO A POST IN UNDER A DAY. that hasn't happened since, like... the forums were new. maybe now that it's out we can attract people here. since saturnfans doesn't have a redline section that i can specifically see. I think we might need a section for like upgrades and stuff. performance, visual, etc.
