I just finished a led 7 color setup. That was the most rediculous thing i have ever had to do to a car. I reccomend a simple 2 wire solid color for any of you that want neons. To those of you who must challenge yourself. Here ya go. Ill post a how to eventually for all you crazy ass people who must try this.

how much harder is it? I know my gold series street glows were a bitch to put on my other car. I had to move a E brake bracket, drill holes and shit like that, it took mw about 3 hours to install.
Good thing u said something about the led's cuz thats what i was going to do to the redline in the future. Thanks for the info Later Jay

the led multi function sets have a control box that all the wires need to be led to. The wires are not small by any means. you have a intermediate box all the neons attach to. Then theres a larger cable that goes the control box. A regular set of neons would be so much easier by hours Im sure. Simple positive negative hook ups with a switch.

which actually looks best? i recall seeing an led kit in action, and i wasnt impressed. all i saw were little blue dots moving in a patter, not solid color, which i am looking for. maybe i just like neons, i am planning on slapping some aqua neons from plasmaglow on my rl when the funds become available...

i would like to see some pictures of where you ran the wires and where you actually installed the tubes i was gonna put on a 7 color kit but i got it home and was like wow this is gonna be hard so i took it back thinking i will either get one color or i will go with neon's

I was thinking of slapping some red neons up under mine. Then again, the more visible aftermarket stuff you put on your car, the more likely you are to attract car thieves.

I learned this with my tricked out S10 several years back. I think I'll just lower it and concentrate on engine upgrades instead.

Is it legal to drive with neons on in your states, cause here in MI you cant drive with them on, only have them on in like parking lots and driveways, never on the street. But Im still thinking about putting on a set in the spring

down here, its pretty much a lost cause to pull someone over that has them. some smaller cities dont like you driving around town with them on, but on highways and downtown areas, cops just kinda let it slide. same goes with the assorted color headlamps ive seen around here, i but some of those blue xenon ones on my car, and rolled past 4 cops one night, none of em gave me any problems, and 1 was a state highway patrol at that.

you can have them here. You have to have a solid color and not red or blue. So in parking lots I run random colors and patterns like chase and strobe. Then on the highway Solid green or Yellow or White. Unlike the Smith family who can leave them on strobe and Blue or red and no problems at all. Rice? how do you say rice they look nice they get compliments and they tell other people on the road you are young and we need to race.

Wow, I think I am about to agree with you here. Yup, I agree.

Agreed. Cobalt guys are all ricers, but we can light up our cars like christmas trees.

At least do it right then. Put a triple decker wing on the back too and maybe add another body kit and a 6 inch exhaust.
