I am trying to build my 2007 ion redline. I woukd like to do motor work and keep the stock super charger. I can't find any lists or performance parts besides zzp. if you guys can point me in the right direction. Even if I can get 300hp I'd be happy I was going to get full 2.5 then go with stage 3 zzp kit but they say that only gets ya 260 how could I squeeze 50 or so more horses outa her. I'd also like to keep it reliable. Any help would be good I see most posts on here are old as this car is geting old. But any help would be appreciated

The m62 is going to be the weakest point in aiming for 300. It's possible, yes. With methanol and e85. Ported blower.
You can get a bolt on turbo kit for 1800 and be mid 300s. That would be the quickest and cheapest route. Or upgrade to a tvs blower. Which won't be as much power as a turbo, and cost about the same

zzp sells multiple turbo kits. the budget one is around 1800 that I was talking about.
In the meantime, I would work on some maintenance. Especially depending on mileage. Timing chain probably needs to be done, and go over the suspension. Make sure youre starting with a solid foundation.
350 will be pretty reliable. Im sure you already know to use premium gas. And make sure the tune is good. ZZP will sell a can tune with it, but its best to have it dyno tuned.

I 2nd the maintenance first then proceed with upgrade.

Going either TVS or Turbo, you will have to redo the fuel system(BRFPS). If you go methanol, dont go through the blower but after it(intake manifold). The internals(pistons specifically) are reliable to about 350 then its a gamble. Also the head can safely handle 7k rpm stock..you can do 7.5k but I would atleast do valve springs if you do. Depending on the age of the clutch I might consider it, stocker is good to about 300 but the GMPP will reliably hold 350+. Going turbo or TVS I'd highly recommend to go to 3" exhaust too.

If you wanted to go as far as you can with the M62..altitude will determine the smallest pulley you can run. At sea level(ish) I'd go no smaller than 2.8(2.7 with E85), at altitudes above 4,000ft you can do a 2.6(this will put the blower out of it range of efficiency and will have diminishing returns). Also if you get it rebuilt, you can find bearings that are good for 20k+rpm.

Keep us posted with the progress, would like to see what setup you choose in the end
