just got a have a 2005 Saturn Ion redline with under 90k miles on it
whats the best ...
Gas?
Oil?
Coolant?
plugs?
Wires?
Air filter?
Oil Filter?
are fuel injection cleaners/additives or oil stabilizers actually a good thing? bad things?
anything other then changing filter and fluids that I can do to keep my new baby running smooth?

I will start with the oil - go with mobile 1

6.75 quarts


if you take it to the shop be prepared to argue a a little about that

Stock or modified?


They say to check the intercooler pump


common malfunction in our cars

there are some threads here about that that you can check out

I will start with the oil - go with mobile 1

if you take it to the shop be prepared to argue a a little about that
I have been using mobil one advanced fuel economy in all of my other cars ( all Hyundais tho )
should I go standard or keep the advanced fuel economy

I just use regular mobile 1 full synthetic

(actually never heard of the advanced fuel economy one)

there is an extended version that they say is a little better though

Im fairly sure its mostly stock, has coil overs that I will Likely get rid of. as of what it has
taken from the post I bought it from
"the following parts brand new , ECU stage 3 from intense performance, warranty on that , EVAP purge canister, front and rear , muffler, slave cylinder, tires , front axles , brand new o2 sensors, coils , spark plugs , intercooler pump "

I'll let some of the performance mod guys answer this better but

Sounds like it is not stock with a stage 3 ECU

Intense performance - think I heard of them here on the forum - a little

but most people here talk about Zzperformance

Gas? Top Tier 93 or 91
Oil? M1 5w30 or 10w30
Coolant? GM Dexcool, Distilled H20 50/50 mix
plugs? NGK 4644 gapped to 0.35
Wires? No wires, stock coils or ZZP coils
Air filter? Stock paper or AEM Dryflow
Oil Filter? ACDelco

oil? Castrol edge 5w40 6.5 LITERS / IM IN QUEBEC, CANADA
coolant? Gm dexcool coolant 50/50
plugs? Acdelco iridium spark plugs
wires? No wire / 4 ignition coils
air filter? K&n typhon cold air intake
oil filter? Fram ultra syntetic
are fuel injection cleaners/additives or oil stabilizers actually a good thing? Bad things?
Anything other then changing filter and fluids that i can do to keep my new baby running smooth?

------and for your additive if you ride it hard you can put ''tufoil engine oil additive is the best''

so try to hit the sunoco with the 93 (i get the car wash combo there any way :))
is 91 required? if its a choice between food and 93 should i go for the better gas as I will blow up my engine? ( hypothetical only )
any one have real world experience with e85?
any one know the aem filter part number? ill keep googling to find it if not

Premium is required, yes. Less than 91 will result in either poor performance or engine damage.

E85 is great if you have a reliable source, enough injector, and the ability to tune for it.

If I can remember tomorrow, I'll go see if there's a part number on the AEM dryflow in my shed.
