Does anyone know what are we working with?

Aluminum or iron block?
Closed or Open Deck?
Pistons: Forged, hyperetic?
Rods?

Just found this:
engine specs
Damn, 7 quarts of Mobile One wont be cheap. It collaborates the forged rods but doesn't clarify if the pistons are forged. If this is the same block the 2.2 uses, I would assume its an open deck :( I figured it was throttle by wire. Errr, I hate that. All their talk about durability testing is impressive.

I believe it is the same block, I seem to remember hearing that the stroke was shortened to drop to 2.0. I'm almost positive that the pistons are forged.

1000hp Ecotec
It is an open deck. That will keep it from making crazy amounts of power with out some major work. It looks like GM Racing hit 350hp before they had to sleeve it.
