Yep 1997244 seems to be the part, I replaced the solenoid with the Standard Motor Product brand from RockAuto but it didn't fix my boost issues, the car is throwing a P0033 code. Not sure if I got a faulty bypass solenoid or wiring issues.

 

Wonder if the diaphragm is stuck open. Have you checked the wiring by chance as well?

 

Not fully familiar with what the diaphragm being open means?

Wiring seems to be good, positive works with car on, not sure how to test ground since PCM activates it

Hi, try checking the plug and its wires to the solenoid. Look for missing or cracked insulation.The pig tail could be bad.

 

I played around with the diaphragm and wiggled it a bunch and when I drove it after it started boosting again, but stopped after about 15ish minutes of driving, any idea of a part # or how to repair the diaphragm?

 

I believe zzp sells them. I'll look for the part number after work for you

 

Yep just found it on ZZP's site, they are selling it for the cheapest I can find so far

Is 12633355 really interchangeable with the oem bypass solenoid for the IRL? I tried to order one from ebay that said oem but it's just a duralast part or something. I can't find the oem part by ac delco anywhere.

Edit: turns out the ebay seller just sent the wrong part. They're sending the oem part so hopefully that'll actually fix my issue.
